If I could buy every single piece of lingerie Fortnight has ever made, I would. I am continually impressed by their sturdy longlines, stylish bodysuits and unique designs in fresh color combinations. I wasn't able to get a photo of every piece from the new AW collection, but I still want to share what I saw (and loved)!
Next season, the Vega line will be offered in Sable, a shimmery burnt orange color and black, a timeless staple. Sable is similar to the Rust colorway from AW'14 but it's a deeper orange and more shimmery. The line contains a longline (pictured above), demi cup (32-36 A, 30-36 B-D, 30-34 DD, 30-32 E), balconette (30-38 DD-E, 30-34 F), A-line slip (S-XL) and matching bottoms. Sadly, the bodysuit will be available only in Sable next season - I would have loved to see it in black, as well!
The Ivy was a new style first offered in SS'15 and I'm in love with the combination of sheer lace and shimmery jersey fabric. (Spoiler alert: I have a review of the Ivy in progress!) It's almost the opposite of the Mira, which features solid material in the cups and stretchy lace in the body. Note that the bras only go up to E cups in this range. Christina Remenyi, Fortnight's founder, explained that she felt the stretchy lace would not be as supportive as the materials in the other longlines. Unlike the other slips Fortnight offers, this one has hooks and eyes in the back, as well as a cut out below the band.
I love the delicate rose lace design of the Ara for next season. I haven't tried this range myself, but I think this would be really flattering on smaller busts. The Ara line features a demi cup (pictured above), bralette (32-36 A, 30-36 B-C, 30-34 D), romper (S-L), bodysuit (S-XL), and matching high waist panties.
The Mira is probably my favorite Fortnight range to date. I love that Christina changes up the type of lace used in the bodice and side panels nearly every season. This lace might be the prettiest one yet! It's sturdy, more sheer, and less stretchy than the AW'14 Mira slip that I own. The AW'15 Mira will also come in navy & black.
Next season, Luna will come in 3 colorways - black, champagne/ivory and strass/ivory. Strass first made an appearance in the SS'15 Ivy longline and I'm happy to see this delicate silvery blue shade again.
I didn't get a chance to snap a photo of the Faye chemise, but it's a silky soft new loungewear option made of tencel and mesh. It will be offered in grey/ivory and black. It's a perfect loose-fitting piece to relax in at home.
What do you think of Fortnight's new collection?
