Review: Fortnight Mira Slip

Happy 2015 to all of my dear readers! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and enjoyed their time with their loved ones and of course, all the tasty holiday delicacies.

Today I will be reviewing one of my favorite pieces from Fortnight AW14 collection - the Mira slip in sage. I am already a huge fan of Fortnight but this piece is the most luxurious, soft and comfortable piece of lingerie that I have in my collection.

The color scheme of this slip is absolutely beautiful ... why is sage such an under-utilized color in lingerie?! The soft lace has a similar iridescence to that of the Mira bodysuit that I reviewed a few months ago, while the cups and center are made of smooth, stretchy material. It's a very flattering and versatile piece.

The Mira slip comes in small, medium and large and I chose the small for myself. Although it's a little bit small in the bust, it gives my chest a slight uplift and doesn't create any bulges under clothing. Everywhere else, it fits perfectly and gives me a smooth and pulled-together look under dresses.

I wear the Mira under my favorite dresses when I don't feel like wearing a bra and sometimes even to lounge around the house when I want to feel sexy. I think it could be worn with a bra, but I prefer to wear it without one, since the sturdy fabric gathers and lifts my medium-sized and self supporting bust sufficiently,

I think the Mira slip in small would be an ideal fit on 8 C-E & 30 B-DD busts, since it's just a bit too small on my 28F/28FF chest (but not enough to bother me). For reference, I have a 23.5" waist and 33" hips and find the rest of the garment to fit beautifully. Those with largest chests and small band sizes might find the Mira to lack support and may prefer to wear a bra with it or it may simply offer too little coverage to be a viable option.

I can't wait to see what Fortnight has in store for SS'15! I really want to get my hands on a Mira longline, since my Luna is staple in my bra-drobe.
