Review: Ewa Michalak CHP Lawenda

Disclaimer: The items pictured here were gifted to me for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

At this point, I've tried almost every single cut of bra that the wonderful Ewa Michalak offers in my size range. CHP was the last one on my list, so I was thrilled when the EM team offered to send me the CHP Lawenda to review on the blog.

In the bra fitting communities I frequent, ladies familiar with EM often advise sizing down in the half-cup styles, since they are more open on top and are meant to provide 'cakes on a plate' cleavage. I decided to go with this suggestion, since my HP Rokoko fits like a dream in 65E. I choose the Lawenda in 65E and coordinates in size 6.

All I can say is... bam! That is some impressive cleavage for a bra that doesn't have a ton of padding and weight. The CHP is a minimal coverage half-cup with two vertical seams and soft removable padding on the inside. I'm a huge fan of purple lately and the geometric floral detailing on the edge of the cups and gore is really simple and pretty. I love that this design extends to the gore, which is usually left more plain.

I've taken pictures both with and without the removable pads to show you the difference in cleavage. Here it is with the padding:

And without the pads:

With the pads in, my breasts are

lifted and not so strapped in. It's a perfect fit for the minimum coverage cleavage look. I think I could have also taken a 65F but the cleavage probably wouldn't have been as impressive.  By contrast to the PL style, which pushes in and together, I find that the HP and CHP styles push up and out and 'present' the bust. I don't think I'd feel comfortable running after the bus in this bra, but it's amazing for a night out with a low cut top. It looks fantastic with my Ann Taylor faux wrap blouse (which I plan on reviewing soon in my upcoming petite busty fashion expansion!) With the pads removed, the fit is a bit less lifted but still very rounded and attractive. I think it could work well for daytime with the right top.

The band is considerably looser in this bra than in the SM Cukiereczek that arrived in the same package. I would say the 65 fits like a true-to-size 30 band and is most comfortable on the second hook of four.

Both pairs of panties are made of a silky soft material and feel great against my skin. It feels like a microfiber with some weight to it. The briefs are fuller coverage than other EM designs but they go great under a flowy skirt or dress.

I'm a big fan of this style! I would definitely love to have a simple, black CHP bra to wear under a low-cut little black dress. Thank you again to the EM team for these wonderful samples! Also, I want everything from the Christmas collection... so many pretty colors everywhere.
